Frequently asked questions
-
We’re a trusted outside caterer at venues across the county, including Allerton Castle, Hornington Manor and Priory Cottages, and we work in castles, country houses, barns, marquee fields and village halls besides. If your venue is new to us, we’ll visit it before the day so nothing is a surprise on the morning.
-
Yes, it’s one of the things we’re best at. We bring a full mobile kitchen and plan power, water and access with your marquee company well before the day. Marquee fields, tipis, barns and village halls all work the same way: from the plate, you’d never know there wasn’t a kitchen on site.
-
Most couples book us 12–18 months ahead, and summer Saturdays go first, if you’ve just secured a venue for peak season, it’s worth talking to us in the same week. That said, we do sometimes have a date free at shorter notice, and menus can be finalised much later. Ask about your date even if it feels close.
-
We check in with you eight weeks before your big day to confirm final numbers. Four weeks before is when we need your table plan and dietary requirements — send them however they come, a spreadsheet, a table plan, a text message. Every allergy and preference is cooked as its own dish, not scraped together from what’s left, and your table plan tells our team who’s getting what.
-
You sit down and eat the wedding breakfast you’re thinking of serving, plated as it would be on the day, and we talk it through course by course. Bring whoever you’d like a second opinion from. Most couples change their mind about one dish, which is exactly what it’s for.
-
Your wedding breakfast priced per head, with the chefs and waiting staff to cook and serve it, and crockery, cutlery, glassware, linen and the kitchen itself wherever your venue doesn’t provide them. Canapés, evening food and drinks service are quoted alongside so you can see what each one adds. It’s itemised, nothing appears later that wasn’t on the quote.
-
Yes, and most couples have us do the whole day. Canapés during drinks and photographs, the wedding breakfast, then evening food later on, one team, one kitchen, one invoice, and nobody arriving halfway through the day who doesn’t know your venue. See our evening receptions page for what we serve after the speeches.
